In a shock announcement Repsol has today announced they will be withdrawing from Sandman Motorsport at the end of season V. Repsol which took over as the team’s major sponsor at Sandman Motorsport in season IV has cited “the global finical crisis” as the reason for their decision. 

Sandman Motorsport has had a spout of bad luck this season with the latest mishap coming in race 2 of Sunday’s championship round at Bahrain. 

After a few week out of the winners circle Sandman Motorsport never would have thought their next win would have come at Easter Creek.

V8SFG Racing is officially the first team to clean swap a round in Season V away from Sandman Motorsport. V8SFGR drivers Bowie and Backmarker backed up there speed at Bathurst where there race was over before it even got serious.
