With just a day to go before the Track IR V8 Supercar Season VI kicks off, pressure is mounting on Sandman who will be going for a record breaking three straight driver championships. Over forty drivers and twenty teams have been registered to compete and the competition will be tougher than ever.

Sandman Motorsport is delighted to announce that Castrol will be the team’s major sponsor for Season VI of the Track IR V8 Supercar Series at Adrenalin Factor.

Sandman will pilot a brand new Castrol VE Commodore without a team mate for season VI in an effort to cut costs during these tough economic times.

With race 2 results still up in the air Sandman’s win in race 1 at Birubi on Sunday was enough to clinch his second straight V8 Supercar title. 

It was a fitting way to farewell the team’s major sponsor Repsol, claiming the title and finishing the season off with a pole, a win in race 1 and possibly a win in race 2.
